PERSONAL

Group Captain D. J. Scott left todav on a visit to Nelson. The Greymouth Borough Council at its meeting last evening passed resolutions of condolence with the McKay, Kent, and Kitchingham families in their recent bereavements. The services of Mr. L. McGlashan as producer of the Greymouth Operatic Society’s musical comedy “Our Miss Gibbs,” were recognised recently when members of the cast presented him with a smoker’s companion. ■ A presentation was also made to the stage manager and scenario artist, Mr. J. Rhodes. A watch was presented to the principal comedian, Mr. L. Lindley, by members of the chorus, in appreciation of his efforts.
