DOMINIONS’ PLAYERS WIN MATCH (Rec. 2.30 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 18. Bobbv Locke and Norman von Nida won their 72 holes match against Rees and Ward, four up and three to play. Rees and Ward retained their ovei - ni"ht lead of three holes to the thirtenth of to-day’s 36 holes, after which two birdies by Locke and one by von Nida squared the match at Hie eighteenth. The Dominion players went ahead for the first time in the match at the twentieth, where Locke scored a birdie four. Two more birdies to von Nida at the twenty-third and the twenty-seventh gave him and Locke a three-up lead. The next four holes were halved, but Rees and Ward blundered at the thirty-second, where Locke and von Nida became dormie four. A half in three at the short thirty-third settled the match. To-day’s golf was not of a high standard as the players had to battle through blustering rainstorms.
