A ’Mitchell bomber carrying ft a.] General Paul Wurtsmith, temporal y commander of the Eighth Air Foiice, and other officers, which has been missing since September 13 was on a mountain-top near Greei (South Carolina), where it crashed and was burned. The fate ot the occi pants is not yet known.— New ioi v, September 15.
