CONCESSION
(Rec. 2 p.m.) AMMAN, Aug. 8. The Transjordan Government has granted the Trans-Arabian Pipeline Company, which is jointly owned by the Standard and Texas Oil Companies a concession for a. 24-mch pipeline across Transjordan territory, from the Persian Gulf to Palestine, thus assuring the company of an outlet to the Mediterranean by the most direct route. The pipeline is planned to carry 15,000,000 tons of oil annually.
