AID TO FARMERS
USE OF D.D.T. SOLUTION

The Wall Street Journal states that the D.D.T. fly-control programme in Kansas and Oklahoma is adding millions- of pounds in weight to beef and butter and millions of gallons of milk to the nation’s supply. It is also improving the - quality of leather.
Herds protected by D.D.T. gained 32 per cent, more weight than untreated animals and increased the milk supply by 10 to 25 per cent. A solution of one part D.D.T. to 399 parts of water did not injure the livestock, but was effective . against flies, lice, ticks and many other animal pests.
