REEFTON SMALL OUTPUT FROM COAL MINES
(0.C.) REEFTON, Aug. 5. Not since January of this year have the weekly coal output figures from Reefton mines been at such low level as last week, when only 1240 tons were consigned from the Reefton railway station. Heavy rain all the week, which almost stopped production at open-cast mines, and a blockage on the road to the Burnwell mine were the principal factors in the small production. PERSONAL. Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Morgan left lor Wellington this morning, where- the death has occurred of Mr. Morgan s father.
