£164,000,000 FOR COAL INDUSTRY BRITISH NATIONALISATION LONDON, August 1. The British coal ' industry was awarded £164,660,000 compensation for assets taken over under the nationalisation scheme. This figure, which was published in the report of the Coal Compensation Tribunal, covers ■ the industry’s assets except for subsidiary assets such as coke ovens and byproduct plant. The tribunal sat lor six weeks.
