ARABS LEAGUE OPPOSED
LONDON, July 31
The Palestine Arab Higher Committee has sent a telegram to the Arab League saying that its representatives are determined not to accept partition in any form. The Syrian Prime Minister (Abdullah Jahry) said that Syria, in agreement with other Arab Governments, intended to refuse the British invitation to a Palestine round-table conference in London. “It is illogical that those possessing the right should meet on a footing of equality with those who aspire to deprive them of it,” he said.
