OBITUARY Mr. C. W. Saunders
The death occurred suddenly at Greymouth this morning of Mr. Charles William Saunders, of High street, aged 51. . Mr. Saunders, who had lived in Greymouth all his life, was engaged in the grocery trade. He was a former member of the Waterside Workers’ Union. He is survived by his wife, one son and one daughter, his mother, Mrs. J. Saunders of Boundary street, four brothers, John, George, Frederick and David and two sisters, Ann and Gladys, all of Greymouth. Mr. John Dowling The death occurred at Dunollie this afternoon of Mr John Dowling, aged 46. Mr Dowling was born in Lancashire and had resided at Dunollie for the past 21 years. He was engaged in the mining industry, \yas an executive member of the Greymouth Kennel Club, and a member of the Runanga Buffaloes’ Lodge. During the last war he served with the Imperial forces in England. He is survived by his wife and three daughters, Mrs R. Hopkinson and Mrs. D.’ Brown, both of Greymouth, and Miss B. Dowling, of Dunollie.
The funeral will take place at the Karoro cemetery on Sunday afternoon.
Mr. James McVeagh
(P.A.) AUCKLAND, August 2. The death has occurred of Mr. James McVeagh, a prominent barris-* ter. He is survived by his wife, daughter, and two sons.
