DEATH SENTENCE

FORMER VICHY MINISTER FOUND GUILTY

(Rec. 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, July 18. The Vichy Minister for Information, M. Rene Bonnefoy, was sentenced to death in his absence by the Versailles High Court, says Reuter’s Paris correspondent. He was found guilty of collaboration. The sentence carries with it confiscation of his property. Bonnefoy went into hiding when the Vichy Government collapsed, and has not been seen since.
