OBITUARY Mr. Frank R. Whitmore

The death occurred suddenly at the Grey Hospital this morning of Mr. Frank Reepen Whitmore, aged 36 years, of Rotomanu. He had suffered only a brief illness. Born at Levin, he came to Rotomanu at the age of ten years and had resided there since. He served with the Royal New Zealand Air Force in the Pacific. He is’ survived by his wife and three young children, his stepmother and two stepbrothers. His father, Captain F. N. Whitmore, predeceased him 13 months ago. The funeral will take place at Greymouth on Monday morning.

The sudden death of Mr. Whitmore was referred to at the annual conference of the West Coast branch of Federated Farmers being held at Hokitika to-day, and a motion of condolence with his relatives was passed.
