Spratt’s Appeal Fails

WELLINGTON, May 31. The jockey, P .Spratt, appealed before the Appeal Judges, Messrs J. RL. Stanford, F. F. Newman, and P. A. O’Neill, of Wellington, to-day against the decision of the Wellington District Committee, which suspended him for two months on a charge of interference while riding Colopier in the Mokai Handicap at Wairarapa on Easter Saturday. Spratt was represented by Mr W. E. Leicester. After hearing further evidence the judges dismissed the appeal, amt Spratt forfeited his deposit.
