World Weather Forecasting.
As part of plans to put weather forecasting on a global basis, converted Superfortress bombers operating from Alaska will soon be sent to the North Polar- regions on periodic observation flights. Other aeroplanes will cover much of the North Atlantic and Pacific -areas. The routes for the aeroplanes have been organised into a pattern of zigzag legs over important weather areas not .covered by shipping lanes, fixed weather ships, or land stations, —Washington, May 29. _________
