QUEENSLAND WORKERS TO DISCUSS EXTENSION BRISBANE, May. 29. The Brisbane Federal executive of the Meat Industry Employees’ Union will meet at Sydney on Monday to discuss inter-State extension of the Queensland meat strike, which began on March 6. So far the Queensland public has not suffered and overseas consumers have been most affected. Queensland butchers’ shops are filled with choice meat brought in from country slaughter yards. One power house union has already refused the strikers’ request for sympathetic action to deny power to the “black” slaughter houses. This is a rebuff to the disputes committee of the Trades and Labour Council which hoped to withdraw labour from all the power houses,
