SWIMMING Girls’ Backstroke Record
(P.A.) INVERCARGILL, April 19. The New Zealand junior girls’ 75 yards backstroke record of 55sec, established at Auckland this season, was equalled at the Invercargill baths by Marie Walker in a special attempt on the record. The Southland Swimming Centre will apply for recognition of the performance.
