SYMPATHY WITH PALESTINE STRIKERS

(Rec. 9 a.m.) JERUSALEM, April 18. A three-hour token strike throughout Palestine has been declared by the 6000 employees of the Palestine Government’s War Departments in sympathy with the 50,000 Govern' ment employees who stopped work on April 15. The War Department employees also decided that if the Government brought in military personnel to man the deserted Government departments they would declare a continuous strike. The Arab Chamber of Commerce appealed to the Government to" “take immediate and equitable measures to end the strike.”
