MOTOR-CYCLIST SUFFERS " INJURIES CRASH ON COBDEN HILL Raymond Smith of Cobden, single, aged 23, suffered head injuries when he was involved in a motor-cycle accident on Cobden Hill at about 4 o’clock yesterday afternoon. In attemting to avoid a car and another motor-cycle, Smith crashed into the built-up wall at the side of the hill. He was admitted to the Grey Hospital and his condition this morning was reported to be satisfactory. PEDESTRIAN HURT While crossing Mackay street, at the Tainui street corner at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Mrs. D. Spalding of Franklin street was knocked over by a caidriven by Mr. J. Douglas of Wataroa. She suffered severe bruises and was attended by two ambulance men at the Dominion Hotel. Mr. Douglas then drove Mrs. Spalding to her home. HOSPITAL ADMISSIONS. No details are obtainable of the accidents which caused the admission to the Grey Hospital of two men yesterday. Cecil Heward, single, aged 27 years, was admitted suffering from lacerations to his left hand. Leslie Allan Fenson, aged" 25 years, of Stillwater, a returned soldier, was also admitted, suffering from head injuries. The condition of both patients this morning was satisfactory.
