Restoration of Week-day Meetings Refused
It is understood in racing circles that a decision refusing the restoration of week-day racing in the Dominion has been reached by the'Government, although no official Government statement has yet been issued Recently the Government was approached to restore week-day racing for the remainder of the season so as to enable clubs to hold meetings In the Dominion to the full allocation of the remaining permits. As the position is at present several clubs hold permits to race but there is no available Saturday.
