URGENT TRANSPORT

NEW ZEALAND TO SAN

FRANCISCO

'(P.A.) AUCKLAND, March 21. People awaiting urgent transport to the United States, including about 100 New*Zealanders who hold priorities, will be pleased to learn of trips by three Matson liners from San Francisco and back in April and May. It was announced to-day that the Lurline is due at Auckland on April 28, the Monterey again on May 17, and the Mariposa on May 20. All the vessels will be restored to civilian basis, but some bookings will be available for American citizens desiring to reach the United States. It is stressed that it' must not be as-sumed-that the regular Matson service has been resumed, as it is possible that after these voyages the liners may be laid up for reconversion. . , There is no information yet available concerning about 1000 fiancees of American servicemen or former servicemen desiring to travel to the United States.
