MEETING AT HOKITIKA. The Westland Land Board met at Hokitika on Wednesday the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Mr. N. Clay presiding over an attendance of the following members: —Messrs H. G. Carter, W. Clayton, E. A. Kirby and B. Ward. The following applications were dealt with:— Section 3478, Block 11, Mawheranui, 1 rood 22 perches, MDLO, Pt. VIIII, R. J. Brown.—Withdrawn. Crown land in Block XVI, Waiwhci'O, 50 acres, Sec. 147, John William Aynsley and Charles Aynsley.— Granted. Block VIII, Mawheranui, 1 acre, Sec.. 147; J E Cron. —Granted. Section 3883, Town of Hokitika, 1 rood 03.9 perches, cash, W. W. Fraser (lor Hoiciilka Bowling Club Inc.) —Granted. « Timber Licenses: S. Cane, a timiber splitting license, 40 acres part Section 3226, Block XI, WaimeaGranted. C. R. Duff, renewal timber license No. 919 over an area in Section 2415, Block VI, Mawheranui, —Granted. C. R. Duff, a timber splitting license over 80 acres in Section 3823, Block 111, Mawheranui.— Grant rescinded. Transfers and Sub-leases:—Lot 7, D.P. 392, Subdn. 6, E.R. 112, Town of Greymouth, 14.9 perches, £740, Charles William Corbin to Samuel James Mitchell.—Apporved. Miscellaneous: On the application of the Public Trustee the license inj Block II Totara Survey District held| by the estate of Margaret Mason was i cancelled. The license of Mrs. Sarah Jacobs over M.L. 2261 and 2309 was terminated on the licensee’s application. The license held by the estate of M. Cain over part section 3743, Block 10, Bruce Bay was terminated.

A large number of other applications were adjourned.
