After hearing the evidence of a private valuer at a sitting of the Land Sales Court in Whangarei, Mr. Justice Finlay stated that it was ridiculous to surest that a trustee would accept £7OOO for a property which the valuer claimed was worth £ll,000. “It is a challenge to one’s commonsense,” said his Honor.. “I will not take any notice of valuations like this.” After another private valuer had eiven his valuation at £12.221, Mr. Justice Finlay remarked that that was just being funny.
