(Rec. 10.45 a.m.) LONDON, July 18. Arthur Sims, a wealthy New Zea-land-born businessman, at present living in Sussex, offered a trust fund, expected to amount to £lO,OOO, to Cambridge University. The fund will endow a Sims Empire Scholarship in any subject which may be selected. Mr Sims, years ago, presented New Zealand with the first supply of radium and provided funds for the equioment of the first New Zealand surgical unit, which .served with the Eighth Army. Last March, it is believed, he offered Sir Alexander Fleming, the discoverer of penicillin, an annuity in recognition of his work for humanity.
