The president of the National Beekeepers’ Association (Mr E. A Field), replying to an appeal by the Minister of Agriculture (Mr Roberts) for 500 tons of honey to relieve the food shortage in Britain said yesterday at Palmerston North that producers needed an unqualified assurance that the honev would definitely go to Britain. He said the Minister appeared more concerned with the success of implementing the marketing regulations in order tc supply the civilian population of New Zealand, over and above the existing priorities, than with a| straight-out effort to secure the honey urgently needed in Britain.— P.A. 1
