The death has occurred at Christchurch of Mrs. Elizabeth Peterson, formerly of Nelson Creek and Blackball. She arrived from Ireland in the sailing ship “Eastern Monarch,” with her parents. She is survived by her husband, one sister Mrs H. Wright (Riccarton), three daughters Mrs. Hallman (Brunner), Mrs. Goom (Sydenham), Mrs. Mitchell (Lower Hutt) and three sons Thomas Heyward (Blackball). Wilfred (Roa) and Bert (Addington). There are ten grand children.
