MURDERER HANGED.
LONDON, May 10
United States Army Private George E. Smith, junior, aged 28, who was sentenced to death by a United States Court Martial for the murder of Sir Eric Teichman, British ex-diplomat, was hanged on Tuesday at a United States Army Disciplinary Training Centre. Te ; rhmon wa c fmr->d shot in the grounds of his Norfolk home on vecember 3. 1944. He had gone for a walk and was shot bv Smith when, coming on Smith and a companion, he asked for their names.
