BRIDES’ “CHARM SESSION”
LONDON, April 9. Last night 200 British wives arid fiancees of American soldiers attended a “charm session” at the school for brides in “Rainbow Corner” in the United States Services Centre in Shaftesbury Avenue, London. It was an important night in the syllabus founded last year to teach the Ameri-
can way of life to those wno are soon to be part of that life. Beauty experts who attended as lecturers, said that it was better to spend 25 dollars on a jar of restorative cream than to buy four new hats, as American weather was extreme. Blonde streaks in the hair were outdated, they said. They advised the audience to drink eight glasses of water a day to make up for the lack of moisture in United States air.
