LEAGUE FOOTBALL
NEW CLUB FORMED
The Kohinoor Rugby League Club was formed at Greymouth last evening at a meeting attended by over 50 intending members and players. Mr. T. F. McKenzie presided, and representatives of the management committee of the West Coast Rugby League, and the Runanga, Blackball, and Ngahere Clubs .were among those present. , . „ Officers were elected as follow:— Patroness, Mrs. A. H. McKane; president, Mr. R. Kay; vice-chairman, Mr. A. Meadows; vice-presidents (a lengthy list was elected); secretary, Mr. J. Allan; treasurer, Mr. C. More. 1 ; committee, Messrs N. Messenger, J. Doleque, A. Meadows, W. Dunn, W. Hoskin, R. Hobbs. Social Committee: Mrs. F. Breeze, Miss Pickering, Mrs. Dunn, Messrs B. Gracie, D. Mulqueen, C. Nelson; coaches, Messrs E. Kerridge, E. Patterson, T. McKenzie; club captain, Mr. Merriman; selectors, Messrs Kerridge, Patterson, T. McKenzie; auditor, Mr. S. McAra. It was decided that the club colours be black and red (black jersey with red v.). Training will be held on Thursday evenings ar..d subscriptions were fixed at 10/- and 5/- for players and 2/6 for nori-playing members. It was decided that the club play at Blackball on Sunday next.
