WATERSIDE DISPUTE.
WELLINGTON, December 15. Mr. Stout S.M.. consented to the withdrawal of charges against 400 watersiders of participating in a strike regarding which one man was fined £2 in a test prosecution. The Crown prosecutor said the test case had established that the men had broken the regulations which was the main issue. Mr. Ongley for the defendants said the defendant who was fined did not intend to appeal.
