The board of the New Zealand Trotting Association, at a meeting this evening, decided that, as the breeding of Right Ring and Queen’s Play was in doubt, the registration of these two horses be cancelled. It was decided to fine Wilfred Johnstone £lO for failing to register the stallion Pay Globe imported from Australia. F. J. Smith was fined £5O for interference at the South Auckland Trotting Club meeting on April 10, and Cyone Maid, driven by Smith, was disqualified for third place in the Libya Handicap. An application for permission to drive at the cup meeting was received from Free Holmes; and one was received from R. Townley, to drive unhoppled .trotters only for the remainder of the season. Both were refused.
