WEDDING

HARVEY—BRUHN

The wedding took place at Holy Trinity Church, Greymouth, on Saturday afternoon, of Christina Mane Bruhn, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Bruhn, of Rutherglen, and Valentine John Harvey, second son oi Mrs. and"-the late Mr. Harvey, of Athol, Southland. Rev. P. Kirkham officiated, and Mr. J. Paterson was organist. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a gown of creme embossed satin cut on unusual lines,-with a V -shaped inset finished with a buttontrimmed vestee of georgette. The tight-fitting sleeves were pointed over the hands, and the panelled skirt formed a full train. Her embroidered veil formed a pleated halo and was held in place by a. coronet oi orange blossom. She carried a sheaf of white azaleas, lily of the valley and maidenhair fern. She also wore a gold heart-shaped locket and chain. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Nell Bruhn, who wore a full length model frock of Spring green. The bodice was finished with lace and had a sweetheart neckline, short puff sleeves and the skirt was appliqued in lace. She wore a halo of pleated net trimmed with gold flowers and carried a sheaf of gold tulips, roses and maidenhair fern. Sgt. Bert Harvey, R.N.Z.A.F., brother of the bridegroom, was best man. A reception was held at Harker’s, where Mrs. Bruhn received the guests wearing a black model gown, with a black edge-to-edge coat, hat and accessories to tone and a shoulder spray of dark red roses and maidenhair fern. Mrs. Harvey wore a floral frock under a fur coat, with hat and accessories to, tone and a shoulder spray of roses and lily of the valley. Mr. and Mrs. V. J. Harvey left for the North Island, the bride travelling in a black crepe model frock relieved with cyclamen embroidery, hat and accessories to tone and a beige travel coat.
