WEATHER REPORT.
9 a.m.: Barometer, 1011.5 (unsteady, with rising tendency)' thermometer, 47; wind, northerly (light breeze); sky, blue and cloudy, with passing showers and hail; bar, rough sea; river, four-knot fresh; rainfall, 33 points (to 9 a.m. yesterday, 82 points; total to date, 99.27 inches). The death on the bar at high water yesterday was 23 feet. WEATHER FORECAST. The' following is the district forecast issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, to-day:— Situation: An extensive anticyclone is over south-eastern Australia and Northern Tasman. _ Forecast to 5 p.m. Tuesday: Fresh winds from a westerly quarter prevailing. Some further showers of rain jr hail, but fair periods increasing, remperatures cold. Further outlook: Fair.
