WOMAN ATTACKED

REEFTON INTRUDER’S BLOW [SPECIAL TO "STAR.”] > REEFTON, October 27. At 2 a.m. this morning Miss N. Gibson, of Main Street, Reefton, was awakened by an intruder who had made an entry into her home. Miss Gibson, who is elderly and lives alone, on calling for help, was struck heavily on the face by'the intruder, who then made off. Entrance had apparently been gained through one of the front windows, which were found open by neighbours who came to help. Miss Gibson suffered facial injuries and a blackened eye. This . is the secon d occasion in less than three weeks on which unauthorised entry has been made to premises in Reefton.
