GERALDINE RACES FINDON—FIRST IN. ORARI, September 23. The Geraldine Racing Club’s annual race meeting was held at Orari on Saturday in fine weather, and the attendance was the largest for many years. Two races had to be run in divisions, and the meeting finished nearly an hour late. Speculation was reasonably brisk, the sum of £27,445/10/- being handled against £28,028 at last year’s meeting. Features of the day’s racing were the decisive win of Findon in the Geraldine Cup, an outstanding performance by First In in the open sprint, and a blanket finish in the concluding event.
