REVOLVER’S-POINT ARRESTS .

DUNEDIN, June 13. Arrested early this morning at the revolver’s point, nCcir Wsitciti, sifter a car chase, two'brothers, Henry Walton Phillips (29) and Stanley Robert. Phillips (28) appeared at the Police Court charged with breaking and entering at Naseby, and the theft 01. £277. ' The police stated that the Naseby Hotel was entered eariy this morning, money, all of which was alluvial gold, being stolen. Shortly before 6 o'clock, Detective McDougall and Constable Mcßae encountered the accused on Waitati Hill making for Dunecnn in a high-powered car. The detective signalled to stop, but the car was driven straight at him, narrowly missing him. The police car gave chase, and accused were caught and arrested. Most of .the stolen goods were found in the captured car.

Accused were remanded till Monday. bail being refused.
