PARKINSON—KERR. The wedding took place recently at Wollongong, Australia, of Irena, only child of Mr. and Mrs. Watty Kerr of Lithgow and formerly of Blackball, and William, only child of Mr. and Mrs. W. Parkinson of Woolongong. The bridal gown of off-white satin made in Grecian style and embroid-. erecl tulle veil was loaned by her cousin Mrs. M. Aynsley, of New Zealand. The bride who was escorted by her father carried a shower bouquet of frangipanni. The bridesmaids, Miss L. Seymore and Miss A. Sneddon were gowned in white satin and silk net with, head dress of mauve tulle and frangipanni and carried shower bouquets. The little flower girls Margaret Reid and Margaret Beam were ‘dressed respectively in white net oyer blue satin and white net over pink satin with Dolly Varden hats and carried Victorian posies. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. J. Abbott and Mr. K. McGowan. Some 70 guests were received by the bride’s mother, who was gowned in a green ensemble, with black accessories, -with a shoulder spray of gold roses. She was assisted by the groom’s mother gowned in old rose with navy accessories and a shoulder spray of frangipanni. For travelling the bride chose a blue ensemble with white accessories. WALLS—FITZGERALD. The wedding was solemnised at the Church of the Sacred Heart, Addington, recently, of Margaret Patricia, daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. J. E. Fitzgerald, Christchurch, and formerly of Wainihinihi, and Lance-Corporal Neill Joseph, second son of Mrs. and the late Mr. N. J. Walls, Westport. Nuptial Mass was celebrated by Rev. Father D. Lordan, Sumner, who also performed the ceremony. He was assisted by Rev. Father J. Hanrahan, Addington. Mrs. M. P. Walls presided at the organ. The bride, who was escorted by her cousin, Sergeant L. H. Fitzgerald, Lower Hutt, wore a gown of magnolia satin cut on slim fitting lines, the skirt falling into a long train at the back. Her uncut tulle veil was held in place by a halo of orange-, blossom. and it fell to form a second train. Her armlet was of cream lillies, chrysanthemums, freesias and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaids, Miss Nelly Fitzgerald (sister of the bride) and Miss Joan Walls (sister of the brigedroom), were attired in frocks of sky blue georgette over taffeta. They wore coronets of. Autumn tinted flowers to tone.with their bouquets, which were of chrysanthemums, abutilons, and maidenhair fern. The bridegroom was attended by his two brothers. Corporal R. D. Walls, R.N.Z.A.F., . was best man and Sergeant N. P. Walls, R.N.Z.A.F., was groomsman. On leaving the church the bride was presented with a floral ho.rseshoe by Margaret Lodge, Lower Hutt. At the reception, held at the Winter Gardens, the guests were reeciv-' ed by Mrs. N. J. Campbell, aunt of the bride, and Mrs. E. Walls, mother of the bridegroom. When the newlymarried couple left for the north the bride wore a grey pin-striped costume, a grey felt hat, and navy accessories, and she carried,a musquash fur coat.
