DUNEDIN, Jan. 22. The bowling championships were continued in perfect weather, the greens being fast and lively. The fifth round of the pairs saw Travers (St. Kilda) defeat Armstrong (Runanga) 21/14. Ure, Northend (Invercargill) put Parrant (Mt. Eden) out after a close game, the southern pair winning 25/24. In the sixth round ..of the singles Gilbert (Kelburn) eliminated Anchor (Hamilton) skip of the pair who annexed the title in 1939.
