REkFTON, January 20. The Reefton Fire Brigade have decided to hold their 70th Jubilee demonstration on March 11.
( Mr. A. Archer presided at a meeting of the committee of Refeton Tennis Club. Mr. F. Archer was appointed to a vacancy on the committee. The Club have been advised that an allocation of tennis balls will arrive shortly, and it was decided that the balls supplied be held by the Club, and that members be charged a levy for using them. Mr. J. Lundon was accorded the thanks of the Club for his work as a committee member, and for his care of the Club match ladder.
Reports from the Reefton Hospital to-day show that the three victims of the accident on the Maruia Road on Wednesday are improving. Mrs. Poulton’s injuries were not as severe as was at. first thought, and she was today able to proceed home. Mr. Levene was discharged last evening, but remains an out-patient.
