Shikari: Shikari will do no .noix racing for Mr G. R. MacDonald. When he finished up as a two-ycar-old by winning the Challenge Stakes ne looked on the way to being a horse of good class, but before he appeared again he had become affected m the wind. After being operated on he ran a few fair races, but his only win was secured at Invercargill this season.

Foxbridge: The first four horses in the Makaraka Handicap, principal event at the Poverty Bay Turf Club’s Winter meeting at Te Aroha last Saturday, were all sired by the Dominion’s leading sire Foxbridge. They were Justina, Volifox, Foxlore, and Marble Fox. Foxbridge also had first and second in the Second Junction Hack Handicap with Our Joy and Fox-brae. GAgg’s two jumpers have been sent .home. Leopardstown will not be tried again, as he. has gone wrong several times. Troytown was lame after he won the hurdle race at Riccarton on Easter Monday, but it is hoped he will be able to resume work alter a good rest.
