RUGBY FOOTBALL
MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE
Messrs T. Mclntosh, T. P. Ryan, and M. Davidson (Hokitika) were appointed senior selectors at a meeting of the management committee of the West Coast Rugby Union last evening. They were instructed to select 25 players on Saturday next for training in view of the match with Canterbury next month.
A motion of condolence was passed with the relations of the late Mr J. D. Cullen.
It was decided to apply for affiliation with the West Coast Council of Sport, Messrs M. Olsen and H. Clifford being appointed delegates. Fixtures for Saturday next were arranged as follow:— Senior: Star-United v. Blaketown, Park, No. 1, 3 p.m. (J. Bell); Cobden v. Hokitika, at Hokitika. Third grade: Celtic v. Technical, Tech, ground, 1.30 p.m. (R. Longstaff); Cobden v. Blaketown,- Park, No. 1, 1.30 p.m. (N. Eggelton).
