The Oamaru Jockey Club’s Winter fixture was held to-day m fine mild weather, after stormy conditions overnight. The track was not affected by thc° rain, and the going was fast. Speculation was spirited throughout, the sum. of £32,433/10/- being handled as against £24,530 on the corresponding day last year, an increase of £7903.
