FREEMASONRY.
(Rec. 11.40 a.m.) LONDON, May 2D. Mr. Jordan, Past Grand Warden, New Zealand, was installed as Master of the Royal Colonial Institute Lodge in London, by Sir Claude James, Past Grand Warden, Tasmania, and AgentGeneral, Tasmania. Mr. Jordan succeeded the late Duke of Connaught, who was Master for 30 years. The Duke of Kent, Grand Master of the United Grand Lodge, England, was present, and referred to his pleasure at meeting brethren from all parts of the Empire; also his recent visit to the New Zealand Lodge. A representative party of New Zealanders was present, including Mr. M. Maurice Smith, who is a Master.
