LONDON, March 16. A short air-raid alert was sounded in the London area this morning. This was the first time London has had an alert since November 1 and the first time in daylight since June 6 ’ A short alert this morning was due to three enemy aircraft crossing the south coast of England. One flew some distance inland. There are no reports of bombs being dropped. POLES SAVE CONVOY.
