GERMAN LINE PIERCED.
LONDON, February 23. Berlin reports admit that the German line was pierced at several points on the southern front, after violent Russian attacks. The Moscow radio says that 15 places were recaptured in one day on the southern front. German counterattacks in the south-west were repulsed, after which the _ Russians pushed on and recaptured eight more places. x The Russians in one sector of the Ukraine front ceased fighting,.in celebration of the Red Army anniversary day. In another sector of the same front, however, cavalry freed four inhabited points in the past 24 hours, and wiped out a squadron of German cavCounter- attacking a village on the central front, from which they were driven a few days ago, the Germans, continually threw in new troops, but all the attacks were repulsed, the Germans left 400 dead at the ap-
proaches to the village.
NEW NERVE TREATMENT.
LONDON, February 23. Dr. K. Henderson announces that a new system of electro-therapy is be ing successfully used for the treatment of schizophrenia. The results are so satisfactory that other treatment has been discarded. Of 100 schiozophrenia patients given the new treatment, 50 have recovered or have shown marked improvement. The treatment is also being used successfully for melancholia and depression. Dr. Henderson said that the people, were standing up to the war strains in nerve hospitals.
