A sports meeting was held on Hohonu Beach, Te Kinga, on Saturday and was largely attended, the weather being ideal. Dawson 2. J. Beardsley 3. 14in. Saw: Beardsley and Hooker 1, Grav and Becker 2, Dawson and Hibbs 3. Married Women s Race: Mrs. Dawson 1. Mrs. Bryan 2, Mrs. Barr 3. Single Women’s Race: Miss Barr 1, Miss Potter 2, Miss Jacobs 3. Women’s Nail Driving: Mrs. Barr 1, Mrs. Harvey 2, Miss Jacobs 3. Married Men’s Race: T. Rutter 1, P. Heeney 2, W. Gray 3. Single Men’s Race: J. Ryan 1, L. McLeay 2. 66 Yds. Swimming Race: E. De Lore 1, H. Winn 2, E. Watson 3. Tug-o’-War: Te Kinga defeated Hohonu in both the women’s and men’s events.
