WEDDING

MARSHALL—LEITCH. The wedding took place at Holy Trinity Church, Greymouth, on Saturday afternoon, of Nancy, younger daughter of Mrs. W. Leitch and the late W. Leitch, of Blackball, to Robert, only son of Mrs. I. Marshall and the late J. Marshall, of Dobson. Rev. P. Kirkham officiated and Mrs. W. Baird was at the organ. Mr. J. Myers sang, “O, Promise Me.” The bride, escorted by her brother, James Leitch, was attired in a gown of early Victorian style, her tightfitting bodice of white taffeta having a heart-shaped neckline, and finished at the back to the waist with tiny buttons. The skirt was fully gathered to the pointed waist, and was of needlerun lace over taffeta, falling softly to form a train. Her white veil was held by a cluster of orange blossom. Her bouquet was composed of white gladioli, dahlias and ■ maidenhair fern.

The three bridesmaids, Misses Dawn Ledsham, Joyce Blocksage (nieces of the bride), and Greta Marshall (sister of the bridegroom), wore dainty frocks of pastel check organdie, in apricot and pink shades. They carried posy bouquets of eladioli in deeper shades to tone, ancF also wore a cameo and chain, a gift from the bridegroom. Mr. A. Openshaw, of Denniston, was best man and Mr. W. W. Leitch was groomsman. On leaving the church the bride was presented with" a lucky horseshoe by her niece, Jean Davidson. The reception was held at Harker’s, where the guests were received bv Mrs. I. Scott, sister of the bride, who wore a smart navy frock relieved with white, and navy hat to match and a shoulder spray of scarlet shaded flowers. She was assisted by Mrs. Marshall, the bridegroom’s mother, who wore a black ensemble and a smart black hat. She carried a bouquet of golden dahlias and gladioli. Mr. and Mrs. k. Marshall left by the rail-car, the bride wearing a wine corded velvet suit, with felt hat to match and accessories in champagne shade.
