CYCLIST KILLED AUCKLAND, February 15. Fatal injuries were received by a cyclist in an accident on the Great South road near Takaninr. He was Ashton Edward John Fitchett, poultry farmer, 64, of Papakura.

MAN BURNT TO DEATH CHRISTCHURCH. Feb. 14. Robert McAdam, 83, retired was burnt to death at Domett-on Satur day ‘evening, when the hut in which he lived caught fire and was destroyed. Neighbours first noticed the fire about 10 o’clock, but with no water except that brought from houses some distance away little could be done. The cause of the fire is not known.
