BRITISH NEWSPRINT CUT.

LONDON, February 13. The cut in newsprint which will be imposed in Britain on March 15, will be on the basis of 10 per cent, of the present permitted tonnage for each paper, and it means that newspapers and periodicals will consume about 19 pei - cent, of their pre-war figures. The shipping shortage from Canada is mainly responsible for the cut.
