BOWLING. At the annual meeting of the Cobden Bowling Club, Mr. T. Gilmour presided over a good attendance. The balance-sheet, presented by the treasurer, showed the club to be m a sound financial position, the assets being £244/16/- in excess of liabilities. The balance-sheet was adopted. The election of officers resulted: Patron: Mr. J. O’Brien, M.P.; president: Mr. W. Jackson; vice-president: Mr. C. Millar; secretary and treasurer: Mr. J. Stokes; delegate to West Coast Centre: Mr. J. Stokes; committee: Messrs D. Bennett, J. Lyall, J. Derbyshire, D. Robb, T. Glenn and T. Gilmour.
