The battle took place as the contestants were racing through two department stores. The bandits jumped into a taxi. They shot the driver when he failed to move fast enough. One bandit was trapped in a shop. A second bandit was wounded by a traffic policeman, and he fell, but he killed the policeman as the latter approached him.
