MONTREAL’S MAYOR [BY CABLE —PRESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT.) MONTREAL, December 9. M. Adheman Reynault has been named as Mayor of Montreal, after an election. M. Houde, the late Mayor, who was arrested during his term on account of his attitude against conscription, was not allowed to participate in this election. BRITAIN’S TURKEYS LONDON, December 10. Britain has only fifteen per cent, of the normal supplies of turkeys this Christmas. In the West End of London, the prices already are 39d per pound. The prices are expected to rise considerably, especially if frosts and transport delays occur.
